Dragon Fruit Peel as an Eco-Friendly Whiteboard Marker: A Solution for Education

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyoroti potensinya sebagai alternatif berkelanjutan untuk tinta sintetis. Limbah pangan dapat diolah hingga bernilai manfaat. Ini memberikan contoh praktis untuk pendidikan lingkungan, mendorong inovasi dalam bahan biodegradable dan meningkatkan kesadaran tentang alternatif ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan tinta alami ramah lingkungan menggunakan tinta alami dari kulit buah naga, yang berasal dari pigmen buah yang cerah, khususnya betasianin. Pigmen utama betasianin diekstrak dari kulit buah naga dan dikombinasikan dengan arang aktif untuk meningkatkan stabilitas dan diformulasikan menjadi tinta yang biodegradable dan tidak beracun. Prosedur eksperimental meliputi formulasi tinta dan uji coba pengguna pada papan tulis. Tinta yang dihasilkan menunjukkan sifat adhesi yang baik pada permukaan papan tulis. Pengujian pengguna menunjukkan kinerja yang memuaskan dalam penggunaan artistik dan kemasan. Namun, tantangan utamanya adalah menstabilkan pigmen alami untuk memastikan daya tahan warna dan mencegah pemudaran.
