Music Therapy sebagai strategi Pengembangan Pendidikan Excecutive Function dan Self Efficacy pada Mahasiswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi musik terapi (music therapy) sebagai strategi untuk mengembangkan executive function dan self-efficacypada mahasiswa. Melalui analisis kualitatif terhadap karya empat musisi/band Indonesia kontemporer (Hindia, Rumah Sakit, Perunggu, dan Nadin Amizah), penelitian ini mengidentifikasi korelasi antara elemen musikal dengan aspek kognitif dan psikologis mahasiswa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa narasi musikal dalam karya-karya tersebut mengandung struktur kompleks yang mendorong fleksibilitas kognitif, pemikiran dialektis, metakognisi, dan abstraksi—komponenen penting dalam executive function. Kompleksitas struktural musik, variasi dinamika, pengembangan motif, dan pengolahan ruang akustik berkorelasi dengan peningkatan working memory, kontrol perhatian, dan kemampuan perencanaan strategis. Sementara itu, pola narasi transformatif, pengamatan model peran, persuasi verbal, dan konsistensi internal dalam lirik mencerminkan proses pembentukan self-efficacysesuai teori Bandura. Temuan ini memberikan landasan teoretis bagi pengembangan terapi musik terstruktur di perguruan tinggi sebagai intervensi holistik yang menggabungkan stimulasi kognitif dengan penguatan motivasional. Dalam era pendidikan yang semakin kompetitif, musik terapi menawarkan pendekatan komprehensif untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tuntutan akademik dengan kemampuan kognitif optimal dan keyakinan diri yang kuat.
