Author Guidelines

Notes for Contributors

As part of the submission process, authors are required to ensure that their manuscripts comply with all of the following requirements. Manuscripts that do not conform to these guidelines may be returned to the authors for revision.

  • The manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication in another journal or any other form of publication.
  • The manuscript is prepared in accordance with the journal’s scope, focus, and formatting guidelines.
  • The manuscript does not contain any information that identifies the author(s). Author information must be provided only in the Title Page submitted as a separate file.
  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any copyrighted material, including figures, tables, or excerpts from other sources.

Submitting Your Manuscript

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to register and log in to the journal website to submit their manuscripts and track the submission process.

Preparing Your Manuscript

Types of Manuscript

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts related to elementary education:

  • Empirical research articles (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods)
  • Classroom action research (CAR)
  • Literature reviews and systematic reviews
  • Conceptual or theoretical papers in elementary education
  • Best practices and instructional innovation reports in primary schools

Length of Manuscript

  • Research and conceptual articles: 5,000–7,000 words
  • Literature reviews and best practice reports: 4,000–6,000 words

Language of Manuscript

Manuscripts must be written in clear and academically appropriate English. Terms originating from Bahasa Indonesia or local languages should be italicized and accompanied by an English explanation when first mentioned.

Anonymity

The journal applies a double-blind peer review process. Authors must ensure that no identifying information appears in the manuscript file. Self-citations should be anonymized (e.g., Author, 2022).


Title Page

The Title Page must be submitted as a separate file and should include:

  • Title of the manuscript
  • Full name(s) of the author(s)
  • Institutional affiliation(s)
  • Email address of the corresponding author
  • Brief author biography
  • Acknowledgement of funding sources (if applicable)
  • Declaration on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (if applicable)

Layout and Style

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.docx).
  • Use A4 paper size, portrait orientation.
  • Text should be double-spaced, left-aligned, using a standard readable font.
  • No additional formatting such as headers, footers, or page numbers is required.

Abstract and Keywords

  • The abstract should be between 150–200 words.
  • The abstract should clearly describe the purpose, methodology, main findings, and implications.
  • Provide three to five keywords that reflect the core content of the manuscript.

Figures and Tables

  • Figures and tables must be embedded within the manuscript text.
  • Each figure and table must have a clear title and source (if applicable).
  • Upon acceptance, authors may be requested to submit figures as separate image files (.jpg or .png) with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
  • Tables must be editable and not presented as images.

References

All references must be listed at the end of the manuscript and follow the APA 7th Edition referencing style. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero.
